We get it. Kale and quinoa are superfoods packed with nutrients that will make you look and feel good -- but they’re also pretty tasteless.

Not if you stock on proper and oh-so-yummy ingredients.

When Kelly Pfeiffer of nosh and nourish was watching “The Kitchen” on the Food Network, she discovered that the most popular foods people want to cook with are unsurprisingly kale and quinoa. Perhaps these folks were trying to find out how you can take away the bland with much-needed flavor. Pfeiffer soon learned that when chicken is added into the mix, kale and quinoa together can easily transform into a soul-warming, filling, and zesty soup.

“My new Tuscan chicken soup has all three in one,” explains the blogger and recipe developer. “This hearty Italian soup is packed with protein and over a full day’s worth of vitamins C, A, and K. On its own or served with provolone/parmesan grilled cheese, this meal is sure to please everyone at the table.”

Soup may sound as exciting as day-old bread, but Pfeiffer believes this is one meal you’ll be running home to. Dark leafy greens and hearty grains swim in a steamy golden broth alongside fresh tomatoes and shredded chicken breast. Not only is the recipe simple, but it will also cure those what’s-for-dinner woes.
