The crisp fall season is upon us, and with it, the urge to slurp on hearty, piping-hot soup — but let’s face it, sometimes this go-to meal is always missing a little something.

Fortunately, we found the cure for this kitchen woe and it’s certain to keep you reaching for seconds and thirds.

“The number one way to elevate any soup? Serve it in a bread bowl,” says Emma of A Beautiful Mess, who prepared her soft and warm pretzel bread bowl to complement one of her favorite seasonal meals.

“It’s delicious, comforting, and it’s less dishes to clean. Love it,” she adds.

Buttery and toasted brown with a touch of coarse sea salt, you may be tempted to enjoy this bowl alone, but it's made to jazz up any soup of choice, especially on those days when you just don’t feel like cleaning up afterward.

“I made Campbell’s Tomato Bisque to go with my bread bowls,” says Emma. “If you’re really feeling it, make a homemade soup to go inside your bowls. You could try broccoli potato, chipotle sweet potato, or curried pumpkin. But soup from a can is just fine in my book too.”
