Choice Eats 2013: The Village Voice’s Annual tasting event
From chicken chorizo to fluke ceviche to an entire roasted pig, the sixth annual Choice Eats food festival in New York had it all, featuring 50-plus restaurants serving dishes from more than 35 countries.
If you've ever dreamed about being able to sample the fare at some of New York City's best eateries all in one place, there's an event where you can actually do just that.
On Tuesday, The Village Voice threw its 6th annual Choice Eats event with over 50 restaurants hand-picked by Village Voice food critics Robert Sietsema and Tejal Rao.
This event showcases New York as a culinary mecca, but also aims to introduce foodies to some of the city's hidden gems. And even better, a portion of ticket sales to the sold out event is going to the organization Slow Food NYC.
