If you usually stuff your turkey on Thanksgiving, it might be time to reconsider. At least that's what Sunny Anderson, host of Food Network's "Home Made in America" says.

“By the time you get the stuffing done on the inside, the breast is gonna be really dry and overcooked,” she explains.

While cooking stuffing inside the turkey can add extra flavor, according to the USDA, "Cooking a home-stuffed turkey is riskier than cooking one not stuffed." If you want to stuff your turkey, you should use a food thermometer to make sure the stuffing has reached a minimum temperature of 165F.

Sunny suggests stuffing your turkey with aromatics like thyme, sage and rosemary instead.
