Italian Restaurant Review
By Alexandra Giambista
Spina is an adorable Italian themed restaurant located on Avenue B at East 11th Street in the West Village.
This quaint but comfortable restaurant has exceptional homemade pasta served with many different sauces that are sure to please everyone's taste. Spina also has a diverse appetizer, salad and soup section of the menu that has everything from octopus to arugula salad.
Although the price of the entrées and appetizers are somewhat higher than the usual college student frequented restaurant, I recommend trying the exemplary pasta and perfect portions at Spina.
The vintage artwork and small space makes Spina perfect for a family get together. My waiter was very attentive and the overall service of the restaurant as a whole was impeccable. The meal also included artisan bread with complimentary condiments, which also speaks to Spina's level of service.
Entrée prices are about 18 dollars and the appetizers, salads and soups range from 7 to 14 dollars but the prices correspond to the high quality of the ingredients. Next time you're in the East Village don't forget to stop by Spina for some authentic pasta and a great atmosphere.
