Oddest TV Couples
Some couples on TV just don't make sense.

Penny and Leonard

"The Big Bang Theory" revolves around four brilliant best-friends and a hot neighbor, Penny (Kaley Cuoco), that lives across the hall from two of them.

Somehow Leonard (Johnny Galecki), wins her over with his talk of "Star Trek" and atomic particles.

Gloria and Jay

Jay (Ed O'Neill) remarries much younger Gloria (Sofia Vergara) on "Modern Family." She's a Columbian fire-cracker while he's more of a straight-laced, golf playing old guy. It makes for great comedy!

Elena and Damon

Mere mortals always seem to fall in love with vampires on TV. In "The Vampire Diaries" Elena (Nina Dobrev) started out dating Stefan (Paul Wesley) and then hooked up with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Both brothers are vampires.

Schmidt and Cece

Cece (Hannah Simone) is Jess' (Zooey Deschanel) model best-friend who starts sneaking around with Schmidt (Max Greenfield), Jess' egotistic overly-groomed roommate.

Sheldon and Amy

These two are both genius scientists, but it doesn't make their union any less strange. Sheldon (Jim Parsons) may be beyond brilliant, but socially awkward doesn't even begin to describe his mannerisms. Amy (Mayim Bialik), on the other hand, craves more social intimacy and pushes Sheldon to his limits.

Ron and Tammy

Although on "Parks and Recreation" Ron (Nick Offerman) and Tammy (Megan Mullally) are divorced, in real-life the couple has been married since 2003. Seeing them drive each other crazy on screen makes you wonder how they get along in real-life.

George and Dallas

It's uncommon for suburban housewives to have a single man amongst them, and especially such a hot one like George (Jeremy Sisto). Although all the ladies on "Suburgatory" want a piece of him, it's Dallas (Cheryl Hines) who gets the closest - even though she's married. His big-city attitude and her housewife naiveté provide some comical moments.

Christina and Owen

Fans never thought that these two doctors would make it work.

Christina (Sandra Oh) is a go-getter, cutthroat surgeon who isn't one for mushy stuff and doesn't want a family, while Owen (Kevin McKidd) is a war veteran who continuously gets frustrated trying to break down Christina's walls.

Eric and Sookie

The list of reasons why Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Sookie (Anna Paquin) shouldn't be together on "True Blood" is endless. They constantly fight and hide vital information from each other.

Oh yea, and he's a vampire.

Cary and Kalinda

Cary (Matt Zuchry) and Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) have a love-hate relationship on "The Good Wife." They can be at each other's throat one second and making out the next.
