Some stars shine at the Met Gala

Cara Delevingne, Stella McCartney, Kate Bosworth, and Reese Witherspoon attended The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute benefit gala celebrating "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" on Monday, May 5, 2014, in New York. Click through to see which stars showed of stellar looks and which stars' styles fell flat. (AP)

Kate Upton: Not

Its hard for Kate Upton to wear a see-through dress and NOT be hot, but she managed to do it with this odd black, retro granny look that featured flesh toned cut outs.

Anne Hathaway: Hot

Hathaway can forget the Hatha-haters. She looked amazing in a sleek red dress. (AP)

Donatella Versace: Not

She frightened us with her shocking, surgically-enhanced face and a skinny figure. (AP)

Sarah Silverman: Hot

The comedienne looked more like a princess in the ball gown she wore to the gala. (AP)

Lupita Nyong'o: Not

Obviously Lupita looks gorgeous no matter what she wears, but we think she should have left this feather number at home and stuck with something more traditional. (AP)

Kim and Kanye: Hot

Kim Kardashian, left, stayed true to her personal style, wearing a sexy gown that showed off her curves and some major leg. Kanye West kept it simple and classy. It wasn't anything amazing, but it was a major improvement from Kim's Met Gala fashion disaster last year. (AP)

Katie Holmes: Not

Did Katie Holmes borrow this horrific dress from "Beauty and the Beast's" Belle? (AP)

Emma Stone: Hot

The "Spider-Man 2" starlet looked adorable in her cutesy crop-top gown. (AP)

Taylor Swift: Hot

The pop star looked elegant for the gala, but just a few hours before it was set to start she tweeted that her cat nearly ruined her dress. "That moment when your cat casually walks up,then abruptly ATTACKS your custom satin Oscar de la Renta gown during your fitting for Met Ball." The dress appeared to be good shape when she walked the red carpet. (AP)

Georgia May Jagger: Not

Mick Jagger's daughter left little to the imagination in this revealing black dress that seemed more appropriate for the club than the Met Gala. (AP)

Amy Adams: Hot

Adams caught our attention with her shiny gown that was reminiscent of old-Hollywood glamour. (AP)

Naomi Campbell: Not

Naomi was clearly going for a modern take on old Hollywood, but we think there's just too much going on with this white feather number. (AP)

Blake and Ryan: Hot

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds look attractive in nearly everything they wear, and their ensembles for the Met Gala were no exception to that rule. (AP)

Rihanna: Hot

You didn't really expect RiRi to cover up for the Met Gala, did you? The singer looked smoking hot in her cutout dress. (AP)

Lea Michele: Not

The "Glee" star wore an ill-fitting, strangely baggy gown to gala that we just can't wrap our heads around. (AP)

Reese Witherspoon: Hot

Reese showed some skin in her gown, but she didn't overshare too much. (AP)

Charlize and Sean: Hot

Sean Penn, left, and Charlize Theron walked the carpet together looking like the fabulous couple they are. (AP)

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard: Not

Johnny Depp, left, and Amber Heard bored us with their styles at the gala. Clearly they were going for an old-Hollywood look, but they just looked... old. (AP)

Erykah Badu: Not

Erykah Badu looked like she tried to borrow Pharrell's hat and things didn't work out well for her. (AP)
