The now 41-year-old got her first job at age 15 working at a lingerie store. And she hasn't stopped working it ever since. Recently, Von Teese unveiled a new retro-inspired lingerie collection for Bloomingdale’s and she's now sharing her coveted secrets on feeling sexy with Harper’s Bazaar. While some of her tips are expected, such as investing in gorgeous clothes that shows off “a bit of cleavage,” as well as high heels, leather gloves, and silk stockings, she also is sharing some other temptress tips. READ: Dita Von Teese Rolls Out a Lingerie Line of Her Own “I don’t leave the house without a swipe of red lipstick, but I don’t spend a lot of time getting ready either,” says Von Teese. “I can get out the door in five minutes, and that red lipstick gives me the power to look polished. I wear super velvety matte lipsticks, like MAC’s Ruby Woo and Lady Danger. They make for the most kiss-proof, food-proof lip.” And if you really want to look good, knowing how to always appear ah-mazing in photos helps. If you haven’t figured out your signature pose in front of the bathroom mirror yet, now is the time to do so. Again, you have to think about your lighting. In the era of camera phones, you need to figure out your good side and your ‘camera face.’ It’s totally acceptable to analyze that.” Speaking of lighting, don’t just think about flashes. The right ambiance in your home can also add some much-needed oomph. I have dimmer switches in every single room, and in my bathroom and bedroom, where I’d be getting dressed, I tend towards pink light or pink walls because it’s a really flattering color.
