    The only difference between your awkward teenage years and last night's Teen Choice Awards is that one of them probably wasn't televised. In many ways, the ceremony felt a lot like high school. Remember your awkward attempts at dancing? Or that terrible haircut you once got? Or the time you got sent home for violating the dress code?   • Rebel Wilson's 'One Direction' Joke
    When Rebel Wilson was awarded a surfboard for winning the title of Choice Movie Actress (Comedy), she took the opportunity to make an off-color joke involving the show's opening act. "You know what's weird?" she asked the crowd. "When I found out that there was a band called One Direction, because that's the name I also gave my ***hole." That remark might have seemed a bit inappropriate for a broadcast aimed primarily at teens, but then again, it was those same teens who voted her in.

  • Ashton Kutcher's Acceptance Speech
    Ashton Kutcher earned the Ultimate Choice award and began his acceptance speech by clarifying what "Ultimate Choice" meant. "Let's be brutally honest, this is the old guy award," said the "Jobs" actor. Kutcher then revealed his real first name (it's Chris) before launching into a lecture about the value of hard work, knowledge and holding down a job.

    Among two other awards, Miley Cyrus won the Candies' Choice Style Icon award, which she accepted while wearing little more than a bra top and a few straps of leather. Miley's guests for the evening — her younger sister Noah and father Billy Ray — were looking on proudly.

  • The Worst Twerking in Recorded History
    At the end of the telecast, hosts Lucy Hale and Darren Criss tried to organize the crowd into setting a new "twerking world record," and it was both a dismal attempt at twerking and a dismal attempt at a world record. When the music started and the cameras panned across the crowd, it was clear that only a few audience members were participating. That didn't stop Criss from enthusiastically congratulating everyone on somehow "setting a new world record."
