Corsets, Algae and Placenta Pills? How the Stars REALLY Lose the Baby Weight
There's a major baby boom going on in Hollywood.
And doesn't it seem like those celeb moms are able to slip back into those skinny jeans with infuriating ease?

Sure, they might have access to top personal trainers and fat-busting meals prepared by renowned chefs, but others aren't afraid to admit going to extremes to get back to their slender selves.
Their suggestions may surprise you — but that doesn't mean you should try it at home.
Here's what lengths some of the stars went to:
How did Jessica Alba get her svelte figure back after two pregnancies? The 32-year-old credits a certain (painful?) lingerie piece. “I wore a double corset day and night for three months,” said Alba in a 2013 interview with Net-A-Porter. “It was sweaty, but worth it.”
Placenta Pills and Waist Cinchers
Former Playboy pinup Holly Madison lost 30 pounds in six weeks after giving birth to her first daughter in March 2013. As part of her regimen to get fit, the 34-year-old reportedly ordered waist cinchers from Frederick’s of Hollywood and Trashy Lingerie to help her get a smaller waist. If that wasn’t enough, Madison said she’s been taking pills made from her own placenta to promote better health. “They turn it into a little gelcap pill,” said Madison. “It’s not like you’re eating some bloody thing like it’s a steak! It’s supposed to prevent postpartum depression and is good for your health.”
After Beyonce gave birth to her firstborn daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012, the singer got back to looking Bootylicious with a serious diet. “Y’all have no idea how hard I worked. I had to lose 60 pounds,” the 31-year-old singer said during a May concert that same year. “They had me on that treadmill — I ate lettuce!”
Say No to Dairy
When actress Megan Fox was asked by Us Weekly how she lost 12 out of the 23 pounds she gained while pregnant with her son Noah in 2012, she gave some advice on trimming down quickly. “I try to eat whatever I want, but I don’t eat any dairy, and I guess that’s the biggest diet tip,” the 26-year-old said.
No Carbs…or Solids?
As a Victoria’s Secret model, it’s crucial for Brazilian beauty and mother of two Adriana Lima to stay fit. After giving birth to daughter Valentina, Lima told Us Weekly that she stuck to a no-carb diet for three weeks. Sounds fairly doable, right? In 2011, it was revealed that before a runway show, Lima would only drink protein shakes, a gallon of water a day and skip solids, which meant consuming eggs in a powdered form. Then, 12 hours before the show, she would allegedly stop all liquids entirely. “No liquids at all so you dry out, sometimes you can lose up to eight pounds just from that,” says Lima. After giving birth to her second daughter in 2012, the now 31-year-old reportedly focused on an intense workout regimen, minus the too-strict diet.
The Smoothie Diet
According to TMZ, fashion mogul Jessica Simpson, who allegedly gained 60 pounds after her pregnancy to her firstborn daughter Maxwell in 2012, kicked off her Weight Watchers regimen with a 15-day smoothie diet.
'Five Hands' Diet and Algae Wraps
After giving birth to daughter Harper in 2011, fashion designer Victoria Beckham reportedly got back to a size zero by following the “five hands diet,” which meant consuming five handfuls of food a day. In addition, it’s been claimed that the 39-year-old also used algae wraps to help her lose up to three pounds per session.
Forget Pilates. When it came to picking the best exercise to help maintain her famous figure, Gisele Bundchen opted for a more physical workout. “I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week,” the 32-year-old told Vogue in 2010. “I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30 pounds.” Ouch!
It seems like model/actress Elizabeth Hurley has always been in the best shape of her life, including after she gave birth to son Damian in 2002. According to Marie Claire UK, the 47-year-old may have unveiled her sought-after diet on Twitter. “I swear by almost nothing for breakfast for adults,” tweeted Hurley. “Mugs of hot water first thing, maybe an espresso and a few oat cakes mid morning.”
