Angelina Jolie's Style Evolution
Angelina's Jolie's style evolution has been an interesting one to watch, to say the least. In many ways, it has mirrored the star's attitude as she has grown and changed. Her style has gone from goth to old-school glamour, and her accessories have ranged from wearing Billy Bob Thornton's blood around her neck (and a kissy brother) to 115-carat emerald earrings, and most recently, a diamond engagement ring. One thing is for sure — Jolie has come a long way since her days in grungy leather pants, and if her style evolution says anything about her wedding gown selection, we know it's going to be a showstopper.
Golden Globe Awards, 1999
A winner that year for her role in "Gia," then 24-year-old Angelina gave us a glimpse of glamour-to-come in this sparkling Randolph Duke gown. Unfortunately, her glamorous years wouldn't start until after a short phase of goth, grunge and many yucky red-carpet PDAs.
Channeling her inner Elvira, Jolie accepted her award for Best Supporting Actress (for her work in "Girl, Interrupted") in a black Versace gown. If her performance in the film wasn't enough to make us remember her, the uncomfortable mouth-to-mouth kiss she shared with her brother on the red carpet certainly cemented her in our minds.
Golden Globes, 2009
She always makes it look so easy, just as she did in this simple blouson gown by Versace.
The Best Actress nominee (for her role in "Changeling") showed how to make a beautiful black dress exciting with the right accessory. Offsetting a strapless Elie Saab gown with 115-carat emerald earrings from Lorraine Schwartz, Jolie was an instant standout (although she hardly needs huge gems to accomplish that).
At the premiere of "Inglourious Basterds," Jolie revealed her long legs in a nude Versace gown with a thigh-high slit. She topped it off with gorgeous red lips, looking sexy, yet delicate.
"The Tourist" Premiere, 2010
Angelina looked white hot in this Atelier Versace gown on the red carpet in New York City.
"The Tourist" Premiere, 2010
Jolie sparkled on the red carpet in Madrid in a Swarovski-encrusted top with a black velvet skirt and shawl, all by Atelier Versace.

Only Angelina can turn a seemingly-simple strappy red dress into something unforgettable, as she did in Japan in this sexy Atelier Versace number.
Golden Globe Awards, 2011
While she usually sticks to neutrals, Angelina looked absolutely amazing in this emerald-green Atelier Versace gown.
At the screening of "The Tree of Life," which starred Brad Pitt, Angelina looked positively breathtaking in a chocolate-brown Atelier Versace gown.
"In the Land of Blood and Honey" Premiere, 2011
Director Jolie brought gorgeous glamour to the red carpet in an asymmetrical Romona Keveza gown.
Golden Globes, 2012
This dress spurred plenty of "love it or hate it?" polls the next day, but we definitely loved this stunning Atelier Versace gown with the pop of red (which perfectly matched her stunning red lips).
"Gone In 60 Seconds" Premiere, 2000
The tattoo really says it all. Angelina, pictured with then-husband Billy Bob Thornton, embraced her rebellious side in 2000. She also joined the likes of Britney Spears and Courtney Love on that year's Mr. Blackwell's Worst Dressed list.
3rd Annual Women in the World Summit, 2012
A vision in white, the newly engaged Angelina needn't worry about wearing an ivory colored wedding dress. Her taste in men has evolved as much as her style, and we can't wait to see what this fashion icon will wear down the aisle.
Golden Globe Awards, 2001
We kind of miss this version of Angelina, curves and all. The star began shedding her goth image, starting with this stunning Versace gown.
We love the option of wearing a tailored suit on the red carpet, and while some have gotten it very wrong (read: Diane Keaton and Celine Dion), Angelina got it ALMOST right. (We would have done a more glamorous shoe.)
This white satin Marc Bouwer gown sent tons of women to stores for knock-off versions. Angelina proved she could be sexy, sophisticated and trendsetting, all at once.
"Taking Lives" Premiere, 2004
With Billy Bob out of the picture, the new-and-improved (and sexy) Jolie showed off her long legs in this little nude dress, starting her trend of consistently making best-dressed lists.
"Mr. & Mrs. Smith" Premiere, 2005
Amidst the media frenzy surrounding Brad and Jennifer's split, and the hoopla about "Are they or aren't they?" (which everyone now knows Brad and Angie WERE), it must have pained Aniston to see Jolie looking this hot on the red carpet.
Attending the premiere of "Ocean's Thirteen" with Brad Pitt, Angelina looked flawless in a canary-yellow Ungaro gown.
Angelina answered suspicions about a possible pregnancy by showing off her baby bump in a flowing Max Azria Atelier gown at the premiere of "Kung Fu Panda."
