Homophobic Mel? In 1991, Mel made some inappropriate comments to the Spanish newspaper "El Pais" about homosexuality. On Terri Schiavo Even though Mel Gibson had no connection to Terri Schiavo, the woman who made headlines from 1998-2005, during which her family had to decide what to do when she was left brain dead and a court decided to remove her feeding tube, Mel went on commenting for weeks. “It’s just completely wrong to deprive this poor woman of food and water,” Gibson said. “It’s a prolonged and cruel execution.” “I just sit here watching this whole scenario play out in front of me with my mouth hanging wide open," he said. “It’s nothing more than state-sanctioned murder... to just go right to this crucifixion of this woman … even a dog has more rights." Voicemail Rant In July 2010, some crazy voice mails purported to be left by Gibson were leaked to the press and a firestorm ensued. Allegedly left on then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva's voicemail, the Oscar-winner referred to her as "a f***ing pig in heat." He went on to say, "and if you get raped by a pack of n****ers it will be your fault." And the rant went on and on. And on. The Newest Rant Screenwriter Joe Eszterhas recently witnessed a new Mel Gibson tirade after the producer failed to produce a draft of the script for "The Maccabbees," a project he was set to work on with the actor. “Why don’t I have a first draft of ‘The Maccabees’?
