Lindsay Lohan has a new TV gig in the United Kingdom.
The 30-year-old American actress has joined “Sick Note” for its second season. The British comedy stars former “Harry Potter” actor Rupert Grint, as well as Nick Frost and Don Johnson.
The former child star also made the announcement on Instagram Monday. Lohan will appear as the daughter of Johnson’s character.
“We are thrilled to be making a second [season] of this nail-biting comedy and very excited to be welcoming the extraordinary talents of Lindsay Lohan to our all-star cast,” executive producer Jo Sargent told The Hollywood Reporter.
The first season will air this fall and the second season, which will feature Lohan, is currently shooting in the UK.
Lohan previously told Fox News that after a turbulent past in Hollywood, she’s eager for a fresh start and isn’t afraid to return to the limelight.
“... I am more ready than ever to get back into movies and TV,” she explained. “It is a true passion of mine and has been since I was a child. It is not about the limelight though, it’s about doing what you love.”
In March 2017, Lohan announced on Twitter she is gearing up to launch her new prank reality TV series, “The Anti-Social Network.”
“After my 30th birthday last year I decided to make some big changes in my life and getting back on track with work was one of them,” she said. “I changed mu outlook on life — the people I was hanging out with — my management — everything combined has had such a positive outcome!”Display nothing; This is on Publish with no configured Image
The show is expected to follow Lohan as she causes mayhem on contestants’ social media accounts for 24 hours, all while daring to complete embarrassing challenges in order to win prizes.
“I loved being able to wipe my past clean on the internet and move on it felt refreshing,” said Lohan. “On the other hand, yes, social media can be beneficial and detrimental it’s just how you decide to use it.”
“The Anti-Social Network” is currently being shopped around to several networks.
