Billie Lourd shares tribute to mom Carrie Fisher

Claudia Cowan reports from Los Angeles

Billie Lourd paid a sweet tribute to her late mother Carrie Fisher’s famous sense of humor.

“If my life weren’t funny, then it would just be true and that is unacceptable,” Lourd, 24, captioned a childhood photo with Fisher on Instagram. “Finding the funny might take a while but I learned from the best and her voice will forever be in my head and in my heart.”

Lourd opened up about the deaths of Fisher and grandmother Debbie Reynolds for the first time on Jan. 2, posting a photo of herself as a child with the Hollywood icons and writing, “Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist. There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my own and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me.”

Fisher passed away from cardiac arrest on Dec. 27, 2016 at 60 years old. Reynolds died from a stroke one day later at 84.
