Britney Spears is using her star power to do some good for her home state of Louisiana.

The "Piece of Me" performer teamed up with the American Red Cross and CrowdRise to raise money for the victims of the massive floods that have devastated the Pelican State in recent weeks.

The 34-year-old singer announced the news on Facebook, where she detailed two prizes that could be won by anybody who makes at least a $10 donation.

One winner will get two roundtrip tickets to New York City and two tickets to the MTV Video Music Awards next Sunday, as well as the chance to meet Spears before the big show at Madison Square Garden. Another winner will get to own the outfit Spears ends up wearing at the VMAs, along with an autographed album.

Country music icon Tim McGraw, who was born in Delhi, Louisiana, is also stepping up to do his part to help by encouraging his fans to donate to causes supporting the state's relief efforts.

"My home State of Louisiana has suffered a great tragedy with all the recent flooding. So many people's lives have been disrupted and the recovery is just beginning," McGraw, 49, wrote in a post on his website.

"I'm calling on everyone to pull together and help out with the relief efforts that are underway. There are so many ways to support... from volunteering to donating to the many great organizations such as the Baton Rouge Area Foundation or the Second Harvest Foodbank," he continued. "The road to recovery will be long but know, Louisiana, that we will be there for you."
