Connie Britton is forward to the return of "Nashville" just as much as you are!

CMT officially announced Friday morning that it was bringing back the country music drama for a fifth season, weeks after ABC canceled the show. ET caught up with Britton on Friday during a "Friday Night Lights" reunion event at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas to get the scoop on "Nashville's" resurrection.

“I don’t know anything! Literally, I found out today like everybody else,” the 49-year-old actress told ET. “I have no information to tell you!”

Even though Britton was as in the dark about what CMT’s revival will look like, she credited the loyal fans for keeping the campaign alive.

“Look, that was an example of fans being really enthusiastic and we really owe that all to the fans,” Britton said. “The same [happened] with "Friday Night Lights" and "Nashville" is experiencing the same good fortune.”

It’s still unclear which cast members will return to "Nashville" on CMT, but Britton hinted that she’ll be back as Rayna Jaymes.

“Of course, of course!” Britton said.

Earlier this week, Britton’s "Nashville" co-star Clare Bowen was equally enthusiastic about the show’s revival.

“I don’t know more than you do, but I’m really excited for whatever happens,” the actress told ET on the CMT Music Awards red carpet in Nashville.
