Back to cops roots, Adam Rodriguez replaces Shemar Moore on 'Criminal Minds'

Former "CSI: Miami" star Adam Rodriguez is now joining the FBI drama "Criminal Minds."

Rodriguez and CBS announced the move Wednesday.

"It's an honor and it's a pleasure" to join the cast, Rodriguez says in a Facebook video. He adds that he's looking forward to seeing "where all of this leads over the next season."

CBS says Rodriguez will be playing a new special agent in the behavior analysis unit on the series. He played Eric Delko for 11 seasons on "CSI: Miami."
