In a recent interview with Inside Edition, Alicia Machado held nothing back when talking about Donald Trump. She said the billionaire is simply “not a good person,” a bully who called her “Miss Piggy,” and a man she blames him for years suffering from an eating disorder.
The Venezuelan beauty was only 19 years old when she was crowned Miss Universe in 1996, the very year Trump purchased the international beauty pageant.
Machado admitted that she gained weight after her win, as much as 40 pounds according to Inside Edition, and Trump humiliated her about it, she says, requiring her to hit the gym – with the media in tow to record her work-out.
Trump ungallantly called Machado “an eating machine,” and told the reporters at the gym, that when she won the contest, she "weighed 118 pounds or 117 pounds, and she went to 160 or 170. So this is somebody [who] likes to eat."
In July 2015, Machado, who went on to become a well-known telenovela actress in the Spanish-speaking world, announced she’d be writing a book, which she said at the time would provide all the juicy details of their rocky dealings with each other.
Machado, who once called Trump an “imbecile,” is not providing any details just yet, saying only that she plans to narrate the "abuse of power, arrogance and racism" shown by Trump on several occasions.
In the 19 years since she became Venezuela’s fourth Miss Universe, Machado has courted controversy more than once. In 1998, she was involved in a murder case along with her boyfriend at the time, and she has also been accused of having a relationship with a notorious drug dealer, with whom she allegedly has a child.
In her long-standing war with the presumptive Republican candidate, she has called Trump “a detestable man” in La Prensa, and that her time “in the competition was hell.”
This year, Machado will become an U.S. citizen. When Inside Edition asked her if she’d be voting for Trump in November, the elegant TV star simply laughed.
