Fox 411: Dancer's top drops waaay too low, ABC has to cover up

"Dancing with the Stars" had to eliminate two celebrities on Monday night, and "The Facts of Life" star Kim Fields was shocked she was going home, along with Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller.

"I didn't see this coming at all," a stunned-looking Fields told host Tom Bergeron on camera after getting the bad news.

Backstage, Fields was so upset that she didn't complete her press interviews, only getting through a couple of them before leaving the set.

Fields' ouster came after viewers saw her complaining in rehearsal that she was "pissed off" about last week's score of 24 (three 8s) for her and partner Sasha Farber.

Noting they didn't receive any 9s, Fields moaned, "I'm sick of it."

Sadly for her, after Monday's individual dance and team dance on "icons night"-- paying tribute to such musical geniuses as The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and The Jackson 5 -- Fields learned week 7 was the end of her "DWTS" road.

So did Denver Broncos star Miller, who danced to an Elvis Presley cover version with partner Witney Carson.

After the show, Miller told FOX411, "I wanted to win but I'm not surprised. The competition level is so, so high ... anybody can go home at any week."

Carson said, "Of course I'm bummed because I wanted to get farther ... but I'm super proud of everything we've done."

Monday night's show was also plagued by more paddle problems. Two weeks ago, both judge Bruno Tonioli and guest judge Maksim Chmerkovskiy raised paddles that said "10" for deaf "America's Next Top Model" star Nyle DiMarco. But host Tom Bergeron explained that was a mistake, as judges write down their scores on a pad which is handed to producers -- and both had written 9s.

Incredibly, DiMarco was victimized again Monday, with Tonioli raising the "10" paddle, only to have Bergeron show viewers on camera that the judge had written a "9" on the final sheet of scoring paper.

"There's paddle problems with us, very strange," DiMarco's partner Peta Murgatroyd told reporters afterwards.

DiMarco, who wound up with 28 out of 30 with partner Peta Murgatroyd, took the chaos in stride, telling FOX411 through his interpreter, "I have no idea what happened the second time but I'm going to take it as a compliment. We still got two 9s and a 10."

Last week, DiMarco raised eyebrows after his rehearsal clips showed him saying he saw dancer Val Chmerkovskiy as his competition, not the other celebrities.

During Monday's show, he explained, "That wasn't me" with partner Peta Murgatroyd adding, "I think Nyle's words were taken out of context."

DiMarco said backstage that he felt he'd had "a moment of redemption" during the rehearsal footage.

The buff model is taking good care of himself physically and mentally, as he's ramped up his "DWTS" diet: "I'm starting to eat chicken and eggs for breakfast. I have to. I can't afford to lose any more weight."

Meanwhile, the pairings of Ginger Zee/Val Chmerkovskiy and Paige VanZant/Mark Ballas brought the ballroom house down by scoring perfect 30s.

VanZant and Ballas did an energetic tribute to Tina Turner's "Proud Mary," complete with a triple cartwheel at the end, while Zee moved fans with a Viennese Waltz to Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing."

After the show, Zee raved, "We had a perfect score! It is so exciting. It was an amazing night."

"Good Morning America" meteorologist Zee gushed about Michael Strahan joining the show, "Michael's an amazing man. I love having him; we've obviously already had him and going forward, to have him more, even better."

Boyz II Men singer Wanya Morris and partner Lindsay Arnold still look like strong contenders, getting 27 for their foxtrot.

In footage, Morris was shown getting upset when his management team scheduled events which impacted his "DWTS" rehearsals.

"It's good for [people] to see how much of a human being you are," he later told reporters of the candid camera stress.

Jodie Sweetin and partner Keo Motsepe received a 26 while Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess tango-ed to 24 points.

In additional to their individual dances, the celebrities performed a team dance which this season pitted male stars against female stars for the first time ever.

The men's James Brown-themed team earned a score of 28. The ladies impersonated Beyonce for a 25, getting marked down because Fields' skirt wound up sitting on the ballroom floor instead of getting tossed aside properly. Those scores were added to the celebrities' individual score.
