Patrick Warburton of 'Crowded' Shares Advice For Parents of 'Boomerang Babies'

Even though it hasn't officially premiered on television, the premise of NBC's new sitcom "Crowded" will sound very familiar to the parents of recent college grads.
"'Crowded' is about the boomerang generation," says Patrick Warburton, who stars as family patriarch Mike Moore. "That's what's going on right now: Kids go off to college, and then they move back in with their parents."
But it's not just the kids who come crawling back home in Warburton's new series. Moore's parents (played by Stacy Keach and Carlease Burke) also come knocking on his door, effectively turning Mike's "empty nest" into a full nest once again.
"It really was the first opportunity, in a sitcom, where I got to be more of a cog in the center," adds Warburton, whose previous credits include "Rules of Engagement" and "Seinfeld," to name a few. "Not that this is not a true ensemble piece. It is. But on other shows I've done, we've all been sequestered. This happens all under one roof."
And although Warburton isn't an empty-nester in real life (not yet, anyway), he's enjoying his current living situation with his wife and their four children.
"You have to love it, because it's not going to last forever," explains Warburton. "We love having the kids around, we love having the whole gang there … and it doesn't last forever. At some point, they're going to be all gone. And that's all good, too, but you might as well enjoy it while they're there."
