Kyle Richards: Faye Resnick not happy about O.J. miniseries

In The Zone: ‘No one wants to be reminded of such a terrible time’

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards lives in a world of glitz, glamour, and drama. The Sculpsure spokesperson opened up about the pressures to be thin and ageless in her hometown.

“Having four daughters I can’t believe my daughters are being raised in this place where everybody is supposed to look perfect and we’re supposed to be so skinny, you know," Richards told FOX411. "So, I just try to have an open conversation with them about that all the time because I don’t want them to have unrealistic expectations, and I do think we’ve, you know, come a long way in terms of expectations of not having to be so skinny thanks to girls like J. Lo and the Kardashians."

But the pressure in Beverly Hills doesn’t stop at physical beauty. In a recent episode of the reality show a new castmember, Kathyrn Edwards, was introduced and caused controversy when she broached the topic of O.J. Simpson to Richards’ friend, Faye Resnick, who was close to the slain Nicole Brown Simpson.

“It was very uncomfortable for me because I’m good friends with Faye Resnick and I knew the moment she showed up, okay, that’s going to be inevitable that’s going to come up, so you’re going to see, it’s going to get a lot more intense down the road unfortunately, and then you know the O.J. miniseries coming out.”

What Richards was unaware of during our interview was Resnick’s reaction to the airing of the Bravo episode which she shared on her personal Twitter page.

“I’m so upset Bravo would air something so hurtful,” Faye Resnick responded to a fan, who had told her: “[People] are hard on [Faye Resnick] but its gotta be weird to have a murdered friend be fodder for reality TV.”

“I know that anytime it’s brought up it’s very difficult for her. She’s not happy about the miniseries because it was a very painful time for her and everyone involved in that," Richards said. "No one wants to be reminded of such a terrible time."

While Richards’ explained Resnick’s trouble grappling with the pain of her lost friend, she too has had her share of public struggles with her sister, Kim Richards, whose drug and alcohol addiction has been documented on the show.

“She’s great, you know. She’s sober. She’s healthy. She’s happy. She’s in a really good place," Richards said. "We’re in a good place, which I’m happy to say because it took a very long time after the show to get there again.”
