'Big Bang Theory': What you DON'T know

Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) is looking for a “new woman to ignore” on this week’s all new episode of “The Big Bang Theory.”
“I have decided that rather than wallow in sadness about Amy (Mayim Bialik), it is time that I find myself a new female companion,” he tells Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) in the opening scene.
Rather than mope about catching his girlfriend of five years kissing another man in last week’s episode, Sheldon enlists the help of Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) to find the next object of his affection.
They first suggest an online dating service but instead settle on placing a Craigslist ad that includes a puzzle to test each potential suitor’s intelligence.
Meanwhile, Amy is on another date with her new flame: a tall, recently-divorced Brit named Dave (Stephen Merchant).
Leonard, Penny and Bernadette (Melissa Rouch) hop in the car with a pair of binoculars to spy on the new couple as they share personal information about their pasts.
“After five years, [my last relationship] was feeling like more work than it should be,” Amy shares over a glass of wine before Dave makes the connection that she is talking about Sheldon — who turns out to be a hero of his.
“I have followed his work for years. He is a rockstar!” Dave exclaims. “You have got to tell all about him.”
As Dave begs for a personal introduction, Bernadette decides to call the surveillance off for the night. But before she can stealthy sneak away, she backs her car into Dave’s, blowing their cover.
Back at Sheldon’s apartment, there are now just 37 minutes until the 10:00 PM deadline for Amy #2 to show up on his doorstep. Sheldon appears calm, convinced someone will show up, even as his friends begin to panic.
Ten O’Clock comes and goes, and then….voila, a knock at the door!
Sheldon, meet Vanessa (Analeigh Tipton). She’s pretty, a bit geeky and totally into Sheldon — until he points out that she didn’t complete the challenge on time and shams the door in her face.
Amy, meanwhile, is having a slightly more difficult time dropping the axe on her new, but short-lived beau.
After putting up with a few too many fanboy questions about her ex, she politely decides to end things for good with Dave and kicks him out of her car..
“At least the same woman who rejected Sheldon Cooper rejected me,” he rations, beaming. “And he has kissed you. And I have kissed you. So if you think about it…”
