Kenny Chesney has undertaken one of the most successful tours of 2015, but he’s looking to beat that in the new year with a run of stadium dates featuring Miranda Lambert.

Chesney’s The Big Revival tour has been playing to sold out crowds in some of the largest venues in the country, featuring Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Cole Swindell and Old Dominion on various dates. He wrapped that trek recently by playing to 120,206 fans over two nights at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., but he’s already looking ahead to making his shows the best of summer 2016.

"People count on having a great day when they come out to see us, "Chesney explains in a press release. "And I think its important that we give them the best show we can from the moment they hit the gate until the final encore songs been played."

That’s why he’s teaming with Lambert, who is currently nominated for four CMA Awards, including Female Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year.

"Miranda is the real deal," Chesney says. "She's a songwriter, first, and a real vocalist. She puts it all out there when shes on stage, and I loved touring with her so much in 2009, I can't believe its taken us this long to get her back out here because I love every single thing about who she is as an artist and a person."

Chesney is also bringing along Sam Hunt, one of the breakout artists of 2015. Chesney gave Hunt his first cut as a songwriter when he cut “Come Over.”

"The second I heard Sams demo for 'Come Over,' I knew he was onto something very unique," Chesney shares. "Watching him develop as an artist, seeing his songwriting evolve and knowing how he brings it when he gets onstage makes him a perfect act to come out with us. Hes fun, alive and all about the music."

Old Dominion will return to the road with Chesney in the opening position, earning a longer set after acquitting themselves well on The Big Revival tour.

"Old Dominion had a tough job this summer, and they got it done," Chesney says. "They're hit songwriters, but they're also guys who've played in a lot of clubs and know how to connect with people. I mean, not only are their songs solid, they're great guys."

Cities, dates and ticket information for the 2016 shows are still forthcoming.
