“The View” kicked off its 19th season on Tuesday, and it marked new co-host Candace Cameron Bure’s first day on the series, however, Bure was nowhere to be found at the start of the show.

Tuesday’s episode opened with Whoopi Goldberg and the rest of the show’s stars dishing about what they did during their time off from filming. Goldberg welcomed back Joy Behar, who returned to the show two years after she ended her 16-year stint as a co-host.

“I’m happy to be back,” Behar said enthusiastically.

The co-hosts then gabbed about Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

New host Bure, who was pictured in the show’s opening credits, was noticeably absent for the discussion.

ABC may have opted to keep Bure out of that conversation because when the actress was on the show as a guest in July, she had a heated argument with co-host Raven Symoné about whether or not a bakery in Oregon had the right to refuse to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple.

Bure’s absence didn’t go unnoticed.

Approximately 30 minutes into the one-hour episode, Bure was brought out to join the conversation.

Not surprisingly, her fellow co-hosts had already wrapped their conversation about Davis.

Bure was prompted to speak about her family and she discussed her three children. She then dished about the upcoming Netflix “Full House” sequel series.

“I am doing my new show ‘Fuller House…’ We’re having so much fun doing the show. It’s great being back together,” she said. “I’m going to be commuting back and forth and I am not going to be at the table every day here until I finish up ‘Fuller House.’”

She added, “I am happy to be a part of this team. [The ‘Fuller House’ cast is] wrapping our 13th episode in November, so after November I will be here more consistently.”
