Selena Gomez is fed up with Justin Bieber. At least the questions, the interviews where all reporters seem to be fascinated about are details about her past relationship.

She has an album coming out, by the way. And she’s super psyched about it. But she’s tired of people not getting past her on-again, off-again relationship with Bieber.

The British publication the Sunday Times’ Style had Gomez on the cover for a story in which the pop singer opened up about her romance with Bieber, how she stopped wearing her purity ring and how people cannot mention her without mentioning Bieber, or vice versa. She also chatted about her life in the spotlight and her friendship to fellow tween sensation Taylor Swift.

She blasted the article after it was published.

“Disappointing seeing interviews I’ve done recently that sound like the exact same interview I did when I was 16,” Gomez tweeted on Monday night. “I just want to release the album already… I’m ready for people to know who I am NOW.”

She added: “Print/type who I am NOW and stop being afraid it won’t give your website hits.”

In the interview, Gomez said she has no regrets about the relationship – but doesn’t want it to define her.

“I didn’t think I was doing anything bad by falling in love. There’s such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it’s good press,” the 23-year-old said. Throw in the fact that you’re a teenager – it makes it more difficult.”

As for the purity ring – which Gomez took off when she began dating Bieber – she said that had originally asked her dad for it when she was 13.

“He went to the church and got it blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids,” she told the magazine. “I’m going to keep my promise to myself, to my family and to God.”

But eventually she realized it was not for her.

“I’m not embarrassed to say that,” Gomez admitted. “I’m also not embarrassed to say that the ring has come off. I got it when I was 13 and I respect so much what it represented, but it isn’t for everyone.”

Gomez’s new album “Revival” is expected to be released in October. As for love, she told the magazine that her next relationship will be special and the media won’t take that away from her.

“The next relationship will be something dear to me,” she said. “There is now way I will ever hide my life.”
