“Jeopardy” is one of the few game shows where contestants really show off their smarts—using vast knowledge of geography, history, pop culture and more to beat the challenges of the big blue board.
But on Wednesday’s episode of “Jeopardy,” the three smarty-pants contestants showed there was one person who didn’t make it into their mental encyclopedias: Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
The $600 clue fell under the category “Before Your Eyes” and even included a snapshot of Lynch.
“Here she is at her confirmation hearing to be our nation’s top cop,” Alex Trebek told the players.
Their response? Silence.
After the buzzer sounded with no guesses, Trebek told the players, “The lady’s name is Loretta Lynch.”
