With a brand new single called “Feeling Tonight,” an album in the works and her first reality show gearing up, Kellie Pickler doesn’t have time for dates or romantic getaways right now. But that’s all right by her, since she gets to work with her songwriter/producer husband, Kyle Jacobs, every day.

In an interview with People, the bubbly blond singer describes what balancing love and work is like for the happily married couple. “Yes, it’s true, I’m sleeping with my producer,” Pickler jokes.

“He is so good at what he does. The music he’s produced for Lee Brice is all over the radio! I’m so excited to be in the studio again recording a new album, and working with Kyle has been amazing,” the country singer furthers. “He has watched me perform for years, so it was great to have a front row seat as an artist and see him in his element.”

While Pickler and Jacobs have always written songs together, recording her new single was their first experience collaborating in the studio.”Feeling Tonight” was co-written by Sarah Buxton, Josh Osborne and Jimmy Robbins, and Pickler says the up-tempo love song reminds her of her own relationship.

“This is such a fun song. I hope it’s this year’s summer anthem,” she admits. “It captures that summer love, that first love, that first kiss, that first spark of romance when you know there’s something special happening. I think of Kyle when I sing this song and the love we share. We’ve been married four years and together more than seven, but we’re still like newlyweds.”

The singer is also working on a CMT reality show, tentatively titled "I Love Kellie Pickler," which will follow the couple’s real lives. “It will have music of course since that’s what Kyle and I do, and our personal lives, but nothing dramatic,” Pickler promises. “We have fun together and do normal things.”

Pickler will perform during the upcoming CMA Music Festival on June 12 at the Chevrolet Riverfront stage and June 13 at the CMA Close Up stage, then sing the National Anthem before that night’s star-studded LP Field stadium concert. Following the anthem, she will be awarded the first-ever Operation Troop Aid Chris Kyle Award for her support of American service members.
