Presidential hopeful Senator Marco Rubio marked his 44th birthday in Las Vegas Thursday, spending the day with his friend Rick Harrison, the star of TV’s "Pawn Stars" and owner of the famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop.
Harrison gave Rubio a private tour of the pawn shop located just off the Las Vegas strip. Rubio immediately went to the sports memorabilia section where he held and sized up a Super Bowl ring.
Harrison told the press why he endorses Rubio.
“I had lunch with him and the thing that impressed me the most was that this guy never say said 'for the party, the party, the party'. A lot of politicians do that,” Harrison said. “I’m good at reading people if you seen my show. This guy cares honestly about people.”

Rubio returned the compliment, saying he admires Harrison’s business success.
“He’s an example that in almost any other country in the world this story would be impossible, mine and his,” Rubio said.
Rubio talked about healthcare and immigration and pointed out he disagrees with Hillary Clinton, who was recently in Vegas talking about an equal path for all undocumented workers to become citizens.
Rubio said the immigration issue can’t be solved with one piece of legislation. Instead, his plan is a multi-step system that gives citizenship first to undocumented workers who don’t have a criminal history.
“The idea that we’re going to be able to do it in one big piece of legislation- people that are telling you that are misleading you,” Rubio said. “I know because we tried. The only way forward, the first step has to be to prove to people that illegal immigration is under control.”
Rubio is also in Vegas to raise money. He attended a private party and fundraiser at Harrison’s home Thursday evening.
