“Empire” is has signed some big names for season two.
The Fox hit has enlisted Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys for guest starring roles in the upcoming second season, the network announced to advertisers at its upfront presentation in New York on Monday.
The musical drama previously featured big guest stars in its freshman season as well, including Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Garys Knight. There’s no word on how the three new additions will be used.
Common and Oprah Winfrey have also been rumored to appear in the second season, but those casting have yet to be confirmed.
After “Empire’s” first season broke ratings records, Fox is planning a longer second run. The network has ordered 18 episodes of the hit, boosted from last season’s 12 episodes.
“Empire” is set to return to Fox this fall, airing in the 9 p.m. slot on Wednesdays.
