Next on Disney’s list? The 1940 celebrated classic "Pinocchio," the tale of a wooden puppet who is brought to life through magic and goes off on wild and somewhat disturbing adventures.
So we're left asking the same question we had last week when Disney announced they were making a live-action Winnie the Pooh: How exactly is this going to be done?
Will "Pinocchio" be played by a small child? How big is the budget? Will the unnerving scenes be even scarier in live-action? Why is this even happening?
This is the latest in a long line of animated films that Disney has said they are planning to remake, or already have.
Deadline also reported that "Pan's Labyrinth" director Guillermo del Toro is also developing a live-action Pinocchio story based on the original, much darker 1883 novel "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi.
There's no word on when either of these possible "Pinoccio" projects might be released.
