Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan have been close friends for years, but now Aldean says they “can’t be friends anymore” due to an unfortunate promo shot that he dredged up from Bryan’s poofy-haired past.

Aldean ate dinner at the Sandbar Seafood & BBQ Joint in Panama City Beach, Fla. on Wednesday (April 1), and he came across a photo that Bryan had autographed for the staff when he ate there that reads, “Thanks for the oysters!”

The picture is an old promotional shot of Bryan with bigger-than-usual hair, leaning coyly to one side and clasping his hands together. Aldean jokingly imitated the pose for a comical shot that he tweeted, using the hashtags #glamourshot and #wecantbefriendsanymore.

The two Georgia boys have been friends, collaborators and staunch supporters of one another over the years, and it’s likely Bryan took the ribbing good-naturedly, though he did not respond publicly. But he wasn’t above a little April Fools Day fun himself. He tweeted out a picture of his “new tattoo,” which was really a terrible likeness of Blake Shelton photoshopped over a real tattoo that Bryan has on his right shoulder, writing, “Hey, QQQATQQQblakeshelton, like my new ink?”

Ironically, the tattoo covered by Shelton’s fake likeness is one Bryan got at the same time that Aldean got a similar one, to mark their support of the Buck Commander product line.

The newly-married Aldean has just released a new single, “Tonight Looks Good on You,” from his current album, Old Boots, New Dirt.
