Former Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora is angrily denies reports that he threatened his ex-girlfriend and ex-business partner Nikki Lund in a heated phone call last month.

“This is a cluster of fabricated lies in retaliation for Mr. Sambora's decision to cease further funding of the unprofitable partnership, plain and simple,' Sambora’s rep Terry Ahern told the NY Daily News.

Lund reportedly claimed to police that the 55-year-old rocker threatened to “dig a hole in the desert and bury” her during a phone call.

Police confirmed that they were investigating an incident and had tried to contact Sambora. Lund, a childhood friend of Kim Kardashian’s, declined to comment on the allegations when reached on her cellphone.

Sambora and Lund had an on-again, off-again relationship for nearly a decade after he divorced his wife Heather Locklear. The pair became partners in the Nikki Rich clothing line last year and were due to open a boutique. But Sambora pulled out of the company last month and the store never came to be.
