The 47-year-old famed Paralympic athlete seemingly got agitated during an interview on “The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy” last week when the former Beatle came up in conversation.

“I don’t want this interview to be all about Paul. That umbilical cord was broken,” she said. “He’s married someone else and I agreed to come on the show so it wasn’t just all about Paul."

“When I go down the street, I get kids coming up to me — half of them don’t even know who he is,” she barked back at Tubridy, who insisted that people are still interested in their six-year marriage, which ended in 2008.

“That’s why he’s got to do songs with Rihanna and Kanye West, so people remember,” she insisted.

The 72-year-old rocker performed “FourFiveSeconds” with both Rihanna and West at February’s Grammy awards. His whistling can also be heard on West’s latest single “All Day.”

Mills adamantly believes that people are more interested in her skiing, work with animals and more.

“When I go down the street, it’s ‘Oh my God, you’re a ski-racer,” she said, making a point that she’s more than McCartney’s ex-wife. “’You help the animals.’ You know, I own the biggest vegan company in the world. This is just someone I fell in love with who to me was a normal guy that happened to write a few cool songs in the ‘60s and a few in the ‘70s. Like everybody that’s a partner. You fall in love, you get married, you sometimes then go, ‘Oh my God, this is completely wrong.’ You wake up and you move on.”

Mills and McCartney’s short-lived marriage produced one child, Beatrice Milly McCartney, who is now 11 years old.
