Kevin Costner co-starred with Whitney Houston in 1992's "The Bodyguard" and he opened up about the late singer's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown's hospitalization during a press junket for his upcoming film "McFarland USA."
"We understand absolutely the pressure that the family's under," Costner told ET. "We want her to have a second chance. That's what we want for her. And if Bobbi could maybe retrace her steps, she'd maybe want a second chance at this, because life is precious. You get this one time, and sometimes in getting a second chance we're able to make the most of our lives. That's what we hope for ... If you pray out there, that's what you pray for. We pray for all our children out there who somehow fall off. It's so easy to do."
While friends of Whitney continue to keep Bobbi Kristina on their minds, emotions have been at a high between the Houston and Brown families.
A source tells ET that Whitney Houston's sister-in-law Pat Houston confronted Bobbi Kristina's unofficially adopted brother Nick Gordon last week. Pat has a protective order keeping him away from her immediate family.
And there was more family drama as police tell ET that Bobby Brown's sister Tina hit her son Shayne in the head with a bottle at a nearby Atlanta hotel.
A witness tells ET that about 40 people were involved in the bloody brawl but that Bobby was not involved.
