Luke Bryan is ready to get dirty. The superstar announced the Kick the Dust Up Tour on Wednesday morning. He is set to hit the road on May 8, and he’s bringing along some very popular opening acts.
Dustin Lynch and Randy Houser will kick off the entirety of the Kick the Dust Up Tour shows, which begin Oct. 30 in Detroit, Mich. For the first time, Bryan will play certain cities on back-to-back nights. He’ll also play headline seven stadium shows.
Those stadium shows will include Florida Georgia Line.
“The ability to go into a city and stay two nights is something I could have only ever dreamed of,” Bryan says. “To be able to roll your world, your tour bus, in and set up a fun little backstage area — it’s amazing we’re in this spot. I can’t thank you fans enough.”
Standing in front of media at the Ford Theater inside the Country Music Hall of Fame, Bryan talked about the tour, as well as his upcoming exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the next Spring Break album, set for a March 10 release. It will be his final Spring Break album, and it will come before two Spring Break concerts, set for March 11 and March 12.
Bryan also spoke about eight international dates set for this winter, as well as a new studio album, the followup to the double-Platinum ‘Crash My Party,’ released in August 2013. Six singles have come from that project, including his current Top 5 hit, ‘I See You.’ The CMA-nominated collection also helped Bryan earn the Entertainer of the Year award in 2015.
Only four songs have been cut for the new project, including ‘Kick the Dust Up.’ The singer says there’s no timetable for the release.
The country superstar also announced that his life and career will be the subject of a new exhibit coming to the Country Music Hall of Fame set to open in May and run through November.
The ‘I See You’ singer and the CMHoF have already been brainstorming what the exhibit will entail. Bryan says he wants to “tell the story, tell how you move up to Nashville chasing dreams, meet some songwriters … we’re excited to tell that story, and we will take it very seriously and try to make a really fun fan-interactive experience.”
