Fourth time's the charm?
After an on-and-off again relationship with 52-year-old actress Meg Ryan, rocker John Mellencamp is planning to propose, Closer reports.
“John has a big romantic streak,” a Mellencamp pal told Closer. “He will come up with something to sweep her off her feet. He loves grand, romantic gestures.”
The couple of three years split in August only to get back together a few months later.
The "Cherry Bomb" rocker and the "You've Got Mail" actress got together after Mellencamp and his wife of 19 years divorced in 2011. Ryan was previously married to Dennis Quaid from 1991-2001.
