After Cameron Diaz has spent months evading questions about her relationship status, People Magazine said they have finally confirmed it: she’s engaged!
The magazine says they have confirmed her engagement to rocker Benji Madden. Rumors had been swirling since the actress was spotted donning a knockout diamond ring last week.
“It happened a few nights ago,” a friend of Madden told People. “All of Benji’s friends are aware and happy for him.”
Diaz, 42, and Madden, 35, reportedly began dating in May. Us Weekly reported last week that the couple had decided to tie the knot.
"Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl,” a source told the magazine. “They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that.”
Diaz, who did not address rumors in this month’s Cosmopolitan, said “timing is everything.”
“If you get into a relationship where you want something the guy doesn't want, it's never gonna work,” Diaz told the magazine. “You're never going to get him to be in that place. No matter how old you are, finding the guy who's in the same place as you are and wants to show up is the only way a relationship works, period."
