MEL B owes her life to a quick thinking chauffeur driver, who raced her to a hospital in London after stomach pains left her “screaming in agony”.
She was on her way to a press conference and rehearsal when she fell ill after being picked up from her house.
The former Spice Girl has now returned to the judges’ panel on UK X Factor after being released from hospital.
“I really missed being here but thanks to all the doctors and nurses who took care of me and got me here tonight,” she said.
Asked by host Dermot O’Leary if she was feeling better, Mel said: “Yes - ish.” There is still no word on why the former Spice Girl was rushed to hospital.
Earlier, friends told UK media outlets that Scary Spice was feeling very under the weather.
“Mel is in a terrible state, physically and emotionally. She is very weak and is being given treatment to help her with the pain,” a friend close to the star told The Mirror
Another source claimed it was so serious that Mel “could have died” if it weren’t for the driver thinking so quickly.
There are conflicting reports for the whereabouts of husband Stephen Bellefonte with The Sun claiming “nobody knows where (he) is, while The Mirror maintains he has been by her bedside the whole time.
Mel, 39 was forced to miss the first round of the X Factor finals, as her contestant Andrea Faustini was knocked out of the competition.
