Jason Aldean's latest album has become just the third album released in 2014 to go Platinum for one million sold. Old Boots, New Dirt is the only country album on the list, accomplishing the feat in just two months.

All six of the "Just Gettin’ Started" singer’s studio albums have gone Platinum, the latest doing so after selling over a quarter-million copies during release week. Taylor Swift's 1989 — a pop release — is the best-selling album released this year. Sam Smith’s "In the Lonely Hour" is also in the Top 3.

Aldean was quick to thank fans who’ve supported him since he released "Hicktown" as his first single in 2005. “I couldn't do it without the best country music fans in the world, who never stop believing in what I do and always follow me, even if I may take a creative left turn every now and then,” he said in a release.

The first single from Old Boots, New Dirt was the also Platinum-selling "Burnin' It Down." Look for Aldean to perform "Just Gettin’ Started" during the 2014 American Country Countdown Awards on Dec. 15.
