Garth Brooks talks new album, new fans, touring with Trisha

Country star just released his first album in 13 years

Country music star Garth Brooks has returned to the road with his record-setting world tour and tells FOX411Country he’s excited to be reunited with his loyal fans from over the years.

The singer is pleasantly surprised to see a whole new generation of “Garth” fans out there who know all the words.

“Ticketmaster has all their information there, and they say it's somewhere between 43-48% of the people buying tickets were either 10 years old or younger last time we were on tour.  So it's pretty neat to see their faces.”  Brooks told FOX411 Country. "What gets me is how they know every word to every verse of every song just like the people that we saw on that last tour that have come back. So it makes for a good night, it makes for a fun night, but it is really cool to see the fresh faces."

Brooks just released his first album in 13 years “Man Against Machine,” and told us the collection stays true to his signature sound while also allowing him to branch out.

"Well I think you want to be your signature self, I mean for people who buy records, that’s how I am as a fan. When I get a new album from an artist that I love who’s had some years behind him or her, I want to hear the things that brought me to them in the first place. Then the second thing I want to do is, I want to hear them stretch out, show me a side of you that I have not seen yet. That’s what this album does. There are some things that are straight Garth that you depend on being there and then there’s going to be some rides you’re going to take, if you’re a Garth fan you've never been here before and that's what I like about it.”

Another way the singer is branching out is by joining social media. His Facebook page received over 1 million likes in under 24 hours.

However, when it comes to the posting and the tweeting, he says he’s not a “pro” just yet and it seems he has not been practicing his selfies.

"No I am not a pro… I'm telling you, guys with selfies? I'm not sure about that you know? But it is fun. What I like about it is it takes away all the walls between you and the people that allow you to be an artist. I like that and it puts you one-on-one communication with them, a lot of times before the show, a lot of times after the show. It's pretty neat to see and it gets really emotional especially right before or right after. That’s the fun time."

So from his new digital presence to his new album and tour, we asked if it’s safe to say he won’t be using the word “retirement” again anytime soon.

Brooks says, “You know what? Unless I get surprised with another baby, I don’t think so! I gotta tell you, I would love to do this now, you know… when I'm introducing the guys and we've been together for 20 years. I look at them sincerely on stage and I hope and pray that we are busy enough to keep them employed for another 20 years that would be a great way to spend my days.”
