Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate it than with a real life scream queen. Tuesday Knight of the classic horror film, “A Nightmare on Elm Street 4:  The Dream Master,” where she played protagonist Kristen Parker, joined us to discuss what it takes to scream the perfect the scream.

FOX411: How is it being known as a scream queen?

Tuesday Knight: When I hear it, it’s funny. It was in such a nice franchise. It was a lot of fun.

FOX411: What does it take to be a scream queen?

Knight: You have to be driven and have some oomph to you. Power. I think you’ve got to be in the right place at the right time.

More On This...

FOX411: What’s the best movie you were in?

Knight: “Nightmare on Elm Street” was obviously the biggest grossing film which was is great, but I think my favorite was a film called “Mistress” with Robert De Niro and a really great cast.

FOX411: The worst movie you were in?

Knight: I’m going to be brave.  It’s called “Cover Story.”  It’s one of those ones that you sort of want to hide under the carpet.

FOX411: Like hide away from Freddy Kreuger? Was that terrifying filming that movie because you had to be haunted by what you saw on the set every day?

Knight: At first it was, but when you’re sitting there, and you get to watch and experience the make-up being put on, and all that sort of stuff, you just get comfortable, and you realize that Robert Englund (Freddy Kreuger) is a real person. He becomes your pal. I had to go into my world to become really afraid of him because he’s so sweet.

FOX411: Is Halloween your favorite holiday?

Knight: Yeah because I get to work more around that time, so it’s nice.  It’s a neat time anyway.  Scary.  Cool.

    FOX411: What’s the secret to achieving a blood-curdling scream?

Knight: When I was first doing the movie I didn’t know how to scream very well.   I was afraid to scream so I would say a lot of “No!”  Then, I got better later.  The trick is just to go for it.
