Stop the music, but only for a little while. Shakira is taking a break to take care of her growing family.

The Colombian singer, 37, who is five months pregnant with her second child, told Hola! magazine that she is dedicating the next year to look after her new baby and her 21-month-old son, Milan.

Shakira said she is going to concentrate on motherhood for now and will begin working on a new album sometime next year.

Luckily for the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer, she has Barcelona soccer star Gerard Piqué to help her out. She said that international soccer star is a very hands-on father.

“He is very involved with his son, he is always there for him, and that’s an advantage for me as I cannot imagine it any other way,” Shakira told the magazine.

The singer confirmed in August the rumor that she was pregnant with baby No. 2. Word began to spread after her performance at the World Cup closing ceremony, where she was spotted with a small bump and a somewhat more conservative outfit than usual.

Her parents revealed to Hola! magazine last month the baby’s gender.

“We’re very happy. She’s having another baby boy – a playmate for Milan,” they said.

Shakira, 37, and Pique, 27, welcomed their son Milan in January 2013.

Earlier this year she told Latina magazine that she wouldn't mind being able to field her own “fútbol” team.

“I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard,” she said.
