Reggaeton Star Don Omar Arrested For Domestic Violence In Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico reggaeton star Don Omar has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

Police say in a statement that 36-year-old William Omar Landron Rivera was arrested early Wednesday at a house in the northern coastal town of Vega Alta.

Authorities say he is suspected of threatening his 26-year-old partner.

Publicist Sujeylee Sola said she did not have immediate comment on Don Omar's arrest when reached by phone.

Some fans of Don Omar left messages of support on his Facebook page.

Don Omar won 10 awards last year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards and has also appeared in movies, including "Fast & Furious" in 2009.
