Adult film star Christy Mack says she was violently attacked last Friday by her ex-boyfriend, Jon Koppenhaver, an MMA fighter better known as War Machine.

Mack, who posted gruesome photos of herself in the hospital, says she was left with broken bones, missing teeth and a ruptured liver.

And while War Machine has been universally condemned for the alleged assault, some are saying Mack should have known he was capable of such behavior.

President of Exquisite Entertainment, Howard Levine, who has worked with Mack, told FOX411: “She was warned several times. They broke up a while ago and he moved out of state.”

“He is delusional,” Levine added. “He came back thinking he was going to propose to her and they would get married.”

Sources claiming to be close to Mack have also told the gossip site site The Dirty that they told her War Machine was bad news, and to stay away. But those same sources say Mack wasn't listening.

“The site obtained pictures of the former couple together post their supposed break-up in bed only a week or so ago, and they two were spotted together recently as a week ago,” said site owner Nik Richie. “War Machine reportedly caught her cheating. He thought they were still together. What he did was 100 percent wrong but she provoked him.”

Lex Jurgen from the gossip site WWTDD says Mack made a bad choice.

“Steven A. Smith got suspended from ESPN for saying women shouldn’t provoke their violent boyfriends. What about dating a guy who’s been arrested and imprisoned several times for violent assault?” he said.

Levine says either way, War Machine needs to be punished.

““He is an abuser and needs to go to jail for a long time," Levine said.

The Ultimate Fighter has a history of violence. He was arrested on assault charges in 2010 and served jail time in 2011 and 2012, according to ESPN.

War Machine is wanted on several charges related to the August 8 attack, including battery with substantial bodily harm, battery by strangulation, open and gross lewdness, assault with a deadly weapon and coercion.

War Machine is also still at large. The fighter has posted several tweets since his disappearance professing his innocence. His last update on Twitter was on August 10th: “I only wish that man hadn't been there and that Christy & I would be happily engaged..I don't know y I'm so cursed. One day truth will come out.”

Reality star Duane Chapman, AKA, Dog the Bounty Hunter has vowed to capture him and return him to police custody.

FOX411 reached out to Mack but did not receive comment.
