Dolly Parton fulfilled yet another lifelong dream when she performed at the Glastonbury Festival in England over the weekend, but apparently not everyone was impressed.

While many applauded her performance — which brought in the largest crowd of the festival, with over 100,000 attending her concert — social media erupted with debate over whether the country music icon lip-synced her performance.

“Oh, Dolly is miming. How disappointing,” Sky News anchor Kay Burley tweeted. The post touched off a huge online debate, with even celebrities joining in.

It’s a claim Parton says is completely false.

“My boobs are fake, my hair’s fake but what is real is my voice and my heart,” the songstress told the Sun.

Parton’s reps also insist there was no lip-syncing involved.

“It’s ridiculous to suggest Dolly was miming. She’s been performing for more than 60 years — she doesn’t need to,” one representative says. “This should not overshadow what was truly a great gig and accomplished performance. Dolly adored every single moment.”

In another statement to MSN, a spokesperson insists, “No, she sings live. Some people don’t know an amazing singer when they hear one.”

Hopefully for the 68-year-old, the weekend ended on a high note, since she was also awarded a plaque while in Glastonbury, in honor of album sales exceeding 100 million units.

Parton was in Europe as part of her global Blue Smoke World Tour, which plays in Nottingham, England tonight (July 2), followed by shows in Germany and Denmark. See a list of her upcoming concerts here.
