Hugh Jackman has taken to Instagram to announce “Blackbeard is born.”
The Oscar-nominated actor revealed his freshly shaved head and groomed facial hair as he prepares for his role as the bearded pirate in Warner Bros. “Pan.”
Production on the Peter Pan origin tale is currently underway in London.
Jackman’s new look is a big change from the full head of hair and burly beard he sported this past Sunday as the host of the Tony Awards, but it looks like the Aussie is just a pirate’s hat away from hitting the high seas.
Even so, auds still have a while to wait before seeing Jackaman’s Blackbeard on the big screen. “Pan,” directed by Joe Wright and co-starring Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara and Levi Miller, is set to open July 17, 2015.
