After introducing the world to Doritos Locos Tacos in 2012 and Waffle Tacos in 2014, Taco Bell can do nothing to truly surprise us anymore — but damned if they aren't trying.

Sources in Bakersfield, Calif., report that nearby Taco Bell locations are testing an item dubbed the Double Dipper: a grilled, meat-and-cheese-filled tortilla (reminiscent of the discontinued Grilled Stuft Nacho) served with a side of nacho cheese dipping sauce and a side of crushed Flamin' Hot Fritos. The idea is that patrons can first dunk their Double Dipper in the cheese, then dip that corner into the crushed Fritos, effectively tarring-and-feathering their fast food with cheese and chips.

The item is being advertised at restaurants with the slogan "It's OK to Double Dip," a phrase that has literally never been uttered in reference to fast-food quesadillas and hot Frito dip.

Taco Bell's Double Dipper is currently only available in the Bakersfield area (for a paltry 99 cents), but seeing as this item comes from the same company that greenlit it's probably safe to assume that Double Dippers will show up at a Taco bell near you.

So what do you think? Would you try it?
