Kelly Ripa will have to share.

Talk show host and former football star Michael Strahan revealed on "Live with Kelly and Michael" he be working part-time at ABC's "Good Morning America."

Strahan commented on rumors that began swirling yesterday that he was joining the "GMA" cast following the recent departures of Sam Champion and Josh Elliott.

"The big news is that I'm gonna be on 'GMA' now," he told the audience of his talk show on Wednesday morning. He added that he found out the news had broke about his "GMA" gig on Tuesday night.

"So what is so surprising is I had a meeting, and we talked about the possibility there, and then I went to see Captain America with Samuel L. Jackson and I get out of screening and I check my messages and I'm on 'Good Morning America.'"

A person with knowledge of the negotiations told the Associated Press that Strahan will work semi-regularly during the show's first hour.

"I don’t think I could do it every day. I have a lot going on. I have to be smart about it," he said.

Strahan vowed to "Live" fans that he won't be leaving Ripa's side.

"I just want everyone to know and [Kelly] to know that no matter what, this is my number one priority, and you [Kelly] are my number one priority, and I would never do anything to jeopardize the quality of what I do here."

After his heartfelt speech Ripa quipped, "That is exactly how we rehearsed it backstage."

Strahan will join cast members George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, Amy Robach, Lara Spencer and weather forecaster Ginger Zee.
