Maybe they should have planned that luxurious “second honeymoon” for another week?
While on their baby-free romantic getaway earlier this month, Prince William and wife, Kate Middleton, missed a crucial milestone in Prince George's life.
US Weekly is reporting that while the Duke, 31, and the Duchess, 32, were relaxing at a super luxurious resort far away from Buckingham Palace, 8-month-old Prince George crawled for the first time.
The Daily Mail previously reported that same trip sparked criticism because Prince George was left behind with Middleton’s parents to babysit. The couple was also allegedly “accompanied by several taxpayer funded Scotland Yard detectives.”
A source tells US Weekly that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were relaxing at the five-star Cheval Blanc Randheli Resort, which opened last November on the Noonu Atoll in Maldives on the Indian Ocean.
But don’t get your knickers in a bunch quite yet.
“William and Kate are excited about the many milestones ahead,” says the insider to the magazine. “George already has a tiny tooth coming in. And his cheeks are chubbier than ever!”
And let’s not forget, the little heir is scheduled to make his first public tour of Australia and New Zealand in April with mummy and daddy. The three-week trip includes visiting 13 major cities. George’s ‘supernanny’ Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, will also accompany the family.
Let's hope the William and Kate don't miss out on other major moments to come, like George's first royal speech. (Hint: it might be "da-da.")
