Report: 'The Honeymooners' actor Frank Marth dies at 91

Frank Marth, who had several background roles on The Honeymooners and also starred in numerous films, died Sunday of congestive heart failure and Alzheimer's disease at his home in Rancho Mirage, Calif., according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 91.

Born and raised in New York City, Marth got his acting start on the stage and transitioned to television in the late 1940s.

His numerous TV credits include appearances on The FugitiveThe Man From U.N.C.L.E., M*A*S*H and The Young and the Restless, but Marth is most known for his supporting turns on The Honeymooners. He played a man who hires Alice (Audrey Meadows) to babysit his son, a criminal who holds Ralph (Jackie Gleason) and Alice hostage after they witness a robbery, and the narrator of Norton's (Art Carney) favorite show, Captain Video.

Marth's final film appearance was in 1994's Loving Deadly. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, actress Hope HolidayTHR reports.
